Fast Results
6–10 shades of colour lift in a single clinic session are possible. Session duration is approximately 60–90 minutes.
Clinician-supervised whitening with the right indication — lasting colour lift and low sensitivity.

In-office whitening
Whitening plans are evaluated together with enamel condition and the shade harmony of existing restorations.
Teeth whitening (bleaching) is a chemical process that lightens colour pigments within tooth enamel by exposing them to oxidising agents (hydrogen peroxide, carbamide peroxide). In clinical whitening, the active agent concentration is significantly higher than home-use products and is applied under direct clinician supervision.
At Bergedent, a combination of in-office whitening (single-session zoom/LED light activation) and a home tray system is recommended. Gum health and enamel condition are assessed first; for teeth with severe tetracycline staining or fluorosis, restoration-based treatment may be more appropriate.

Controlled Safety
Gel concentration and time applied under clinician supervision minimise enamel damage.
Combination Protocol
Colour stability can be extended with home trays after the clinic session; the lighter shade is maintained longer.
Minimally Invasive
No tooth tissue is removed; the procedure is completely reversible.

Suitability review
Sensitivity history, expectation level, and colour stability are reviewed before treatment.
Pre-Assessment
Enamel health, gum stability and starting shade are recorded; suitability is evaluated.
Gum Protection
Gums and soft tissues are isolated with a protective barrier or light-cured resin.
Gel Application & Activation
Hydrogen peroxide gel is applied to teeth and activated with an LED/zoom lamp (15 min × 3 cycles).
Shade Check & Tray Impression
Final shade is recorded. A home tray impression is taken for stability; low-concentration gel is provided.
After clinical whitening, the result is maintained for 6 months to 3 years depending on the shade. Food habits and smoking shorten this period. Annual touch-up with home trays provides sustainable results.
Temporary sensitivity during the procedure and in the first 24–48 hours is possible. Gel concentration is adjusted according to sensitivity and a desensitising agent is applied.
No. Porcelain and composite do not change colour with whitening gel. For colour matching with natural teeth, the sequence is: whitening first, then restoration.
If tetracycline staining is deep within the enamel, whitening response remains limited. In such cases, veneers or crowns offer a more predictable aesthetic correction.
