Full Mouth Implants

Comprehensive arch rehabilitation that restores both function and aesthetics together. Every case is planned individually with CBCT imaging and clinical assessment.

Full-arch rehabilitation

Full-mouth implant plans require surgical and prosthetic stages to be coordinated as one workflow.

What Are Full Mouth Implants?

Full mouth implants are a comprehensive implant rehabilitation method used when all teeth in the upper or lower jaw have been lost or need to be extracted. A fixed prosthesis supported by 4 to 6 implant fixtures restores both speech and chewing function.

At Bergedent, all full mouth implant cases are evaluated by MSc Dt. Tunç Berge using CBCT and digital planning. The most suitable treatment option is determined based on bone condition, the patient's anatomy, and aesthetic expectations.

Treatment Options

All-on-4

A fixed full arch bridge supported by 4 implants. A minimally invasive method that often requires no bone grafting. A temporary prosthesis is typically fitted the same day.

All-on-6

6 implants provide increased stability and a longer-lasting restoration. Suitable for posterior regions requiring greater bone volume.

Implant-Supported Denture

A hybrid solution where an existing removable full denture is secured onto implants. Preferred when bone loss is more advanced.

Individual Arch Planning

Upper and lower jaws are evaluated independently; combined options are also possible (e.g. All-on-4 for lower jaw, individual implants for upper).

Across longer restorations, surgery, records, try-ins, and final delivery move in a coordinated sequence.

Treatment Process

01

Full Examination & CBCT

Bone volume, sinus anatomy and occlusion are assessed. Implant positions are determined via digital planning.

02

Surgical Session

Implant fixtures are placed under local anaesthesia or conscious sedation. A temporary fixed prosthesis is fitted the same day in suitable cases.

03

Healing Phase

Osseointegration takes 3–6 months. Daily life continues with the temporary prosthesis during this period.

04

Final Prosthesis

Once osseointegration is complete, a permanent zirconia or ceramic arch prosthesis is fabricated and secured.

Suitable Patient Profile

  • Total loss of all upper or lower teeth
  • Cases requiring extractions due to advanced decay or periodontal disease
  • Patients who do not want a removable full denture
  • Individuals wishing to regain speech and chewing function
  • Patients with adequate bone volume or candidates for bone grafting

Frequently Asked Questions

Can teeth be fitted the same day?

With the All-on-4 protocol, if bone volume and implant stability are sufficient, a temporary prosthesis can be fitted on the day of surgery. The permanent prosthesis is placed 3–6 months later after osseointegration.

Is full mouth implant surgery painful?

Surgery is performed under local anaesthesia or conscious sedation. Mild to moderate discomfort can occur for 3–5 days afterwards, managed with prescribed pain relief.

How many implants are required?

Typically 4–6 implants are sufficient for a single arch. The number may vary depending on bone quality and prosthesis design.

How long does the prosthesis last?

Implant fixtures can remain in place for decades. The zirconia arch bridge on top has a lifespan of 15–20 years with proper care.

How is treatment cost assessed?

Cost depends on the number of implants, materials used and any additional procedures such as bone grafting. An exact figure can only be determined after examination and CBCT.
